Up-Skill Project at Granta Park Technology Exhibition

Mon, 02 September, 2024

TWI is pleased to announce that key elements of the EU-funded Up-Skill project will be featured at the upcoming Technology Exhibition at Granta Park as part of TWI’s commitment to bridging the gap between human skills and technological advancements in industrial and manufacturing environments.

About Up-Skill

The Up-Skill project recognises that while automation offers significant benefits in terms of production efficiency, accessibility, and cost reduction, it cannot fully replace the critical human skills necessary for business success. In contexts where innovation, flexibility, and artisanal craftsmanship add value, a balanced approach that integrates human capabilities with technology is essential. By fostering effective collaboration between humans and machines, we aim to unlock new avenues for value creation and enhance overall business performance.

Granta Park Technology Exhibition

Date: 11 September 2024

Location: Granta Park

Granta Park is a science, technology and biopharmaceutical park in the heart of the Cambridge Science Cluster. Opened around 20 years ago, the site is home to leading scientific companies such as Pfizer, Illumina, PPD, Medi-Immune, Gilead and TWI, along with a number of other world-leading companies in the field of Science and Technology, with over 3,000 staff working at the park.

This is the first-ever Science and Technology Solutions Exhibition to be held on Granta Park, with around 60 companies on display, offering a diverse range of capabilities.

Visitors to the TWI stand will have the opportunity to engage with our team and learn more about how the Up-Skill project is addressing the challenges of effective collaboration between humans and machines. We invite industry professionals, educators, and stakeholders to join us in discussions about the future of skills development and the critical role of human-machine integration in driving innovation.
