TWI Principal Project Leader, Dr Abbasi Gandhi delivered a presentation during the Industrial Session at the 18th UK Heat Transfer Conference.
The conference, which was held at the University of Birmingham and took place from 9-11 September, 2024, is an in-person event organised every two years under the aegis of the UK National Heat Transfer Committee.
It provides a forum for the heat transfer community to come together, meet, disseminate ongoing work and discuss the latest advances in the heat transfer field.
Topics covered during the three-day conference included forced, natural and mixed convection, two-phase flows, boiling and evaporation, condensation, high and low Prandtl number effects, porous and adsorbent media, and radiation. In addition, there were special sessions focused on heat transfer in energy storage, sorption technologies, and power generation systems.
Dr Gandhi’s presentation focused on the advancements in diffusion bonded microchannel heat exchangers.
