We are delighted to invite representatives from TWI Industrial Member companies to attend our flagship TWI Core Research Programme (CRP) Annual Symposium 2024, on Thursday 26 September 08.30-19.30 GMT at our headquarters in Cambridge, UK.
There will be a showcase of 20+ projects currently being undertaken within this world-leading industrial research programme, along with opportunities to connect with TWI technical experts and fellow Industrial Members through interactive panel and networking sessions.
Delegates will also be able to participate in a technology forum; listen to elevator-pitches; find out how CRP projects are benefiting industry; and learn about the latest developments and activities in the areas of materials, manufacturing and non-destructive testing. There will also be allocated time during which you will have the chance to discuss any challenges faced by your organisation and learn how TWI can offer support. Plus, the event will feature a poster exhibition by PhD students from the National Structural Integrity Research Centre (NSIRC), who will be available to talk about the projects they are working on.
The day will begin with a welcome and opening address from interim Chief Executive, David Wrathmall, before Simon Webster - Chair of the TWI Research Board - gives an introduction to the Core Research Programme and TWI Director of Research, Paul Woollin, speaks on the TWI technology roadmap and the advancement of new technologies for industry. There will also be a keynote speaker, who will share their insights and talk about the impact of innovative research and the value it creates for industry, and beyond.
In addition, TWI laboratory tours will be offered for all attendees, along with ‘meet the expert’ sessions with our technical specialists. The day will be rounded off at 17:00 with welcome drinks, toasts, and dinner with all attendees.
