TWI has been providing support to the aerospace industry for decades, including assisting with the development and deployment of additive manufacturing technologies within the industry, providing non-destructive testing support and delivering training.
Our work can be undertaken at one of our facilities or elsewhere, offering our Industrial Members a flexible solution to meet their needs.
The work undertaken by TWI covers the whole sector from equipment manufacturers through to the supply chain, including work for the defence industry, where light-weighting and cooling have been addressed by our experts for air defence solutions.
As a membership-based organisation we stand apart from the competition, having delivered solutions since 1946 and investing up to 50% of our membership income back into core research for the benefit of our Members. The core research programme (CRP) has produced over 1,000 reports that are available to our Industrial Members.
In addition, we have recently become the European Space Agency (ESA) technology Broker for the UK. This initiative has seen the launch of ‘Prepare for Space,’ which has been created to help non-space organisations to transition into the space sector.
