Three experts from TWI attended the recent Heat Exchanger World and Duplex World combined conference and expo from 13-14 November in Rotterdam.
Friction Welding Project Leader, Sam Holdsworth presented on the topics of friction welding and processing developments during the ‘Welding and Additive Manufacturing’ session.

Elsewhere, Section Manager, Kasra Sotoudeh chaired the session on Metallurgy and Characterisation’ during the event. Also on hand from TWI during the event was Principal Project Leader, Abbasi Gandhi.
About the Event
The second European Heat Exchanger World Conference and Expo took place from the 13-14 November 2024 at Rotterdam Ahoy, the Netherlands. It ran in parallel with the renowned Duplex World Conference and Expo.
The goal of the two-day event was to present on the latest developments and best practices in industrial heat exchange, connecting experts and peers to share, gain, and improve knowledge.
In addition, the event provided a forum to develop end-user understanding and specialist equipment, promote new products and projects, expand business networks and investigate the future of the supply chain and the changing needs of the industry.
