Past Events
Fabrication with stainless steel, 18 June 2015, Middlesbrough
This event provided an introduction to working with this material, focusing on its properties and including advice on good welding practice, materials selection, welding procedure and welding qualification requirements. Examples of weld failures were examined and explained.
Presentations were made by speakers from the British Stainless Steel Association, TWI and the industry. These presentations, available below, will be of interest for any company considering working with stainless steel, or which already is but wants to increase its knowledge in this area.

Attention all fabricators: BS EN ISO 3834, 20 January 2015, Middlesbrough
This event provided delegates with an opportunity to get to grips with this important fabrication standard. Attendees were presented with a clear understanding of what is needed to achieve compliance with BS EN ISO 3834.
The standard was discussed in straightforward terms, with an overview of compliance measures and requirements, guidance on the evidence that the auditor will expect to see during an audit and busting of the myths surrounding the role of the Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC).
