TWI recently had a focus visit to assess the compliance of our management system against the regulations specified in ISO 45001:2018. These planned focus visits are of great importance to us as they help to ensure we remain compliant in health and safety.
ISO 45001 is an international standard that sets out requirements for an occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system and provides a framework for organisations to manage risk and improve OH&S performance.
Key elements under ISO 45001 include leadership commitment, worker participation, hazard identification and risk assessment, emergency planning, incident investigation, legal and regulatory compliance, and continual improvement.
We are pleased to announce that no non-conformances or observations were identified during the focus visit, which showed a clear and visible improvement in occupational health and safety management performance at TWI.
A full ISO 45001 certificate renewal audit is due to take place before the end of 2024.
