Registrations are now open for the 13th International Symposium on Friction Stir Welding and 3rd International Joint Symposium on Joining and Welding which are being held in Kyoto, Japan, from 21 - 23 May, 2024.
This event provides a unique global forum for professionals to share and develop scientific and technical knowledge on Friction Stir Welding.
This event, which is being sponsored and supported by the Joining and Welding Research Institute, Osaka University and will combine with the Third International Joint Symposium on Joining and Welding. In addition, there will be an industrial visit by our sponsor on 24 May, 2024.
The symposium includes three days of technical presentations and, in a change to previous symposia, delegates will also have the opportunity to ask direct questions to world renowned FSW experts from around the world. A panel discussion will be held on the first day of the three day event and there will also be further opportunities to network and socialise during an evening banquet of traditional Japanese food and entertainment.
The event is taking place in Kyoto, one of Japan's great destinations at its premier conference centre. Kyoto is famous for having preserved much of the atmosphere of the past with beautiful Zen gardens, mysterious Buddhist temples and colourful Shinto shrines. While Kyoto continues to play an important role in Japanese religion, at the same time, universities, institutes, and companies carry out advanced research in science and technology, bringing together the past, present and future.
You can find out more about this event and register to enjoy three days of networking and learning about the latest developments in FSW, here.
