Papers from our globally renowned ‘International Symposia on Friction Stir Welding (FSW) have been made available for anyone to access for free via the TWI Digital Library.
The open access release of these papers, which had previously only been available to purchase, coincides with the opening of registration for this year’s 13th International Symposium on Friction Stir Welding.
Papers from the past four Symposia are available for free to the public now, via TWI’s digital platform, with the remaining papers due to be added to the collection over the next 12 months.
This free-to-access public resource is a new benefit for TWI Members too, although the TWI Digital Library also offers exclusive content for both our Professional and Industrial Members.
The Digital Library is an exclusive online resource that provides access to our unique technical knowledge and published material, including a growing collection of articles, conference proceedings, and eBooks that cover a comprehensive range of subjects related to welding, joining, metallurgy, and more.
The upcoming 13th International Symposium on Friction Stir Welding will be held in Kyoto, Japan from 21 – 23 May, 2024, with papers from this symposium also to be made available online within 12 months of the event.
