TWI has launched a new NDT inspection software for wall thickness measurement and corrosion mapping.
Corrosion monitoring is an important aspect for asset integrity management, and ultrasound can be used to analyse and map wall thickness.
CrystalTM Vision is TWI’s new NDT inspection software application, developed using TWI’s Crystal software development kit and based on the flagship inspection Crystal software architecture.
CrystalTM Vision specifically offers a corrosion mapping solution using either conventional or phased array data ultrasonic data acquisition. It supports a number of crawler systems and provides an extensive set of data analysis and reporting features. It will allow data merging and correction – where several smaller scans can be assembled into a larger area for analysis.
Built on the CrystalTM software development kit, bespoke solutions can be provided on request to include integration with your specific motion controllers or robotic system.
