Laser Welding and Additive Manufacturing

Webinars 06 November 2024

Chevron Webinar on Laser Welding and Additive Manufacturing
Time: 09.00am, Houston, USA/15.00, UK

This webinar will provide an introduction to the laser welding process, give an overview of examples of its applications, and highlight some of the newer technologies now available from laser manufacturers.

Laser welding is unlike most other welding processes in the way that it works, and a brief explanation of this will be given, along with the advantages that this brings for welding (as well as acknowledging the disadvantages, which also need to be considered for proper implementation).

The webinar will include an overview of TWI’s Laser based additive manufacturing activities which span from small to very large component manufacture, repair, and coatings.
