TWI is excited to announce a significant update to our flagship inspection software, TWI Crystal™. Due to customer demand, the latest release now includes advanced Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) capabilities, enhancing our industry-leading ultrasonic inspection package. This consolidates the two technologies – PAUT and Total Focusing Method (TFM) in one single inspection software.
TWI Crystal™ continues to deliver high defect detection and sizing accuracy through automated Full-Matrix Capture (FMC), Virtual Source Aperture (VSA), and Plane Wave Imaging (PWI) inspection of industrial structures. This cutting-edge software enables real-time automated inspection of both planar and complex geometry structures, setting a new standard in the field. It continues to be a robust scalable solution allowing for multiple-probes, views and integration with a wide range of robotic systems.
TWI’s consultant in software says, “PAUT has been around a long time, and traditionally TWI Crystal has targeted advanced NDT solutions based around the TFM technique. However, we have listened to customer demand and feedback and have now incorporated PAUT, and this makes our Crystal software even more versatile, facilitating both validation of PAUT vs TFM while providing manual, automated and robotic inspection solutions in the same intuitive interface.”
