The latest newsletter about the 5G ERA project has been released. TWI has been working as one of 13 partners in the project that has delivered an enhanced 5G experimentation facility and the relevant network applications for third party application developers to test and qualify their applications.
The newsletter highlights the latest happenings in the project, including an upcoming tutorial, ‘Connected Robotics Platform for ROS Deployment in Real-world Network Settings,’ which will take place at the 2024 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation in Yokohama, Japan.
This fifth newsletter also provided details of the 5G ERA consortium’s plenary meeting, which took place at our headquarters at Granta Park, near Cambridge, and a ‘Manufacturing as a Service (MAAS)’ workshop that was also held at TWI headquarters.
In addition, the newsletter details ‘The Connected Robotics Platform (CROP),’ which has been developed by the 5G-ERA project to extend the concepts of network softwarisation and virtualisation into robot deployment processes.
