TWI has been working as part of a consortium of partners on the MAREWIND project, which has just released a new project newsletter.
The informative newsletter offers progress updates on the project, information about the MAREWIND ‘Community of Practice’ network, stories behind the project partners, and more.
The project aims to help meet European Union climate targets through the development of durable materials and recyclable solutions for the offshore wind sector. As well as extending the life of offshore assets, this work will open up a range of job opportunities
MAREWIND, which includes 16 partners coordinated by the Lurederra Technology Centre (Spain), will enhance corrosion protection systems and durability; create effective antifouling solutions without the use of biocides; deliver erosion protection and mechanical reinforcement for wind turbine blades; provide predictive modelling and monitoring; and offer increased recyclability.
