TWI Industrial Member, Graham Engineering has been nominated as ‘Apprentice Employer of the Year’ at this year’s Be Inspired Business Awards (BIBA).
The award, which is organised by the North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce is held each year, with the final presentations to be made at the Tower Ballroom in Blackpool this September.
In total, Graham Engineering have achieved three awards within the development division, including National AILU Laser Welder of the Year, Apprentice Employer of the Year and Pre-Advanced Full-Time Learner of the Year.
Adam Birtwell (pictured above) won the AILU Rising Star award, a national award for laser welding, following his work in developing and optimising robot laser welding processes in titanium and duplex steel.
Lee Schofield (pictured above) of Graham Engineering’s development team with the ‘Apprentice Employer of the Year’ award, which was given to Burnley College after they beat off competition from 136 other employers in the category.
Tegan Hamilton (pictured above) with her Pre-Advanced (Welding) Full Time Learner of the Year award. Tegan also achieved the highest individual mark in her exams.
