TWI’s Friction Welding and Processing Section Manager, Jonathan Martin attended the IIW Awards Ceremony 2022 in Tokyo, where he conferred the Arthur Smith Award for career achievements and contributions to the IIW.
The International Institute of Welding (IIW) held their awards during the 75th IIW Annual Assembly and International Conference, which took place from 17-22 July 2022 with the theme of ‘Innovative Welding and Joining Technologies to achieve Carbon Neutrality and promote Sustainable Development.’
The Arthur Smith Award is sponsored by the UK delegation of IIW and was awarded by Jonathan to Warren Miglietti in recognition of his dedicated service to the objectives of the IIW, particularly in the work of the Commissions.
