We are pleased to announce that TWI Cambridge has installed a new GOM ATOS Q optical scanning and measurement system, supported by Central Scanning Limited, which is now ready for use on projects for our Industrial Members.
A flexible 3D scanner with interchangeable lenses, the ATOS Q offers high-precision measurements for small to medium-sized parts.
The ATOS Q has been developed for use by industry, delivering fully traceable measurement results even under harsh conditions. Dust-proof and splash-proof, the optical 3D sensor can capture information quickly to provide quality assurance on additively manufactured parts, cast parts, composite and plastic items, sheet metals and more.
We are currently investigating a range of applications for the scanner at TWI, including those related to joining, welding, brazing, composites and part scanning and reverse engineering.
