In light of the ongoing developments related to the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus), TWI is adopting all UK government recommended measures to minimise the risk posed to both its customers and its employees. These include:
- Cancellation of all non-essential business travel and attendance at external events
- All staff who can do so, working from home as of Thursday 19th March; supported by laboratory based activities continuing on a risk assessed basis
- Actively encouraging the use of digital communications such as video conferencing or online meetings instead of face-to-face meetings
- Staying in regular communication with our Industrial and Professional Members, and other visitors to TWI, and advising them to refer to the government stay at home guidance
We recognise that this may affect the support we provide to our Industrial Members, and will work to minimise any disruption.
We will also endeavour to maintain the high level of technical assistance via services such as Duty Engineer and Information Services, and ongoing project delivery.
The TWI UK sites are closed to visitors for approximately 8 weeks, and we will continually assess and update our customer base on developments.
This is an extremely difficult time for all of our customers around the world, and we thank you for your consideration during this period.
