TWI welcomed the Lean Six Sigma Conference to our headquarters near Cambridge during the week of 13-17 January 2020. The conference was hosted by The International Lean Six Sigma Institute (iLSSi) which was designed for process professionals.
A two-day Accredited Yellow Belt Training and Certification class was held as a precursor to the conference, which began on 15 January.
The conference was opened with a welcome speech by TWI’s Operations Director, Mike Russell. This was followed by a series of talks and case studies from Lean Six Sigma professionals and practitioners drawn from across the globe.
Alongside the speeches were a series of workshops which investigated matters including the Gamification of Lean, Blockchain Basics, Value Stream Mapping, and Root Cause Analysis Techniques in Equipment Failure.
With plenty of opportunity for networking, the conference also included tours of TWI’s facilities and a tour of a local lean manufacturing site in Cambridge.
Speaking on the successful event, TWI’s Mike Russell said, “It was a pleasure for TWI to host the event and welcome leading Lean Six Sigma practitioners and professionals from around the world.”
