TWI is preparing for the 5th bi-annual International Symposium on Linear Friction Welding, which is set to take place 20-21 March 2019.
With a number of developments in linear friction welding (LFW) equipment and an increase in the use of the process across more industry sectors, this event will provide the perfect opportunity to get up to date on the latest advances.
As well as offering information on matters such as design, lead times and ‘buy to fly’ ratios, this event will provide opportunities to network with key players in LFW use – both from within and outside of TWI.
With major end-users, equipment manufacturers, universities, and research and technology organisations all set to attend, topics for discussion include equipment development and innovation, industrial applications, research and academic simulation.
The event begins one day after TWI’s Aerospace Industry Panel meeting, so Industrial Members will be able to attend both meetings.
