TWI plays a leading role in advancing research and development in the field of welding and materials joining, with continually evolving NDT methodologies. Additionally, this requires the examination of such joints and associated materials, which is accomplished through nondestructive testing (NDT).
While TWI provides training and certification in traditional NDT methods that have been in use for a long time, we also provide training and certification in advanced NDT techniques. These include phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT), time of flight diffraction (ToFD), computed/digital radiography, thermography, alternating current field measurement (ACFM), and automated ultrasonic testing (AUT).
