Abu Dhabi, February 1, 2025 - The TWI MENA team participated in the Cancer Run 2025 organised by the Abu Dhabi Cleveland Clinic. In bright winter sunshine, TWI MENA joined the annual event at Hudayriyat Island with thousands of participants over the weekend. With a timed event honouring World Cancer Day (04 February), the affair has slowly seeped deep into the hearts of innumerable people, trying to create more awareness and show support in the fight against cancer.
The energy on-site was almost palpable as runners, joggers, and walkers of all ages converged under the encouraging theme #RunForThem. The whole purpose was to run for a cause that truly mattered – whether it had been a leisurely 1km course tackled over a fun chat or a gruelling 10 km run. With TWI MENA employees and their friends and families proudly sporting their event shirts, a sea of supporting voices came together and stood in solidarity with great emotion.
"Being part of this event is very significant to us - there is no other way to express the impact cancer has- on our lives, on our loved ones. We run today for the loved ones we lost, for the warriors who need our support, and survivors who inspire us every day," TWI MENA People and Culture Advisor said.
Participation in Cancer Run 2025 marks TWI's commitment beyond workplace contributions. TWI is happy to be part of initiatives aimed at linking communities with health, awareness, and resilience as captured under the organisation’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
