The Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi Cancer Run 2024 was organized in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, kicked off on 4 February 2024 at Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The annual event, in conjunction with World Cancer Day, brought together individuals, organisations, and communities to raise awareness about various cancer risks and highlight the importance of healthy lifestyle choices for cancer prevention and management.
As the dawn cracked on that chilly morning, the Cancer Run 2024 site was buzzed with enthusiasm and team spirit. Participants from all ages and backgrounds came together to contribute to a cause that touched many lives.
TWI showed its dedication to corporate social responsibility and stood as a beacon of support in the sea of runners. The TWI team, comprised of staff members from TWI Middle East and TWI Gulf, was easily recognizable by their unified spirit and matching gear – donned in coloured shirts and wrist bands, symbolizing hope and encouragement.
TWI’s presence was a statement of solidarity with those affected by cancer and a commitment to supporting community initiatives. The event itself was more than a race; it was a celebration of life, strength, and the collective effort to combat cancer.
As the runners crossed the finish line, the atmosphere was electric with accomplishment and shared purpose. Beyond physical exertion, Cancer Run 2024 was instrumental for TWI staff to bond outside of the workplace. This strengthened their camaraderie, which contributes to a positive company culture and promotes a shared commitment to corporate social responsibility.
A heartfelt appreciation goes to both the Marketing and PAC teams for flawlessly organising an event of such significance.
Last but not least, a big round of applause to the TWI staff for making the event a success.
