Conferences 26 September 2024

TWI Core Research Programme (CRP) Annual Symposium 2024

We are delighted to invite representatives from TWI Industrial Member companies to attend the flagship TWI Core Research Programme (CRP) Annual Symposium 2024, on Thursday 26 September 08.30-19.30 GMT at TWI’s headquarters in Cambridge, UK.

There will be a showcase of 20+ projects currently being undertaken within this world-leading industrial research programme, along with opportunities to connect with TWI technical experts and fellow Industrial Members through interactive panel and networking sessions.

Delegates will also be able to participate in a technology forum; listen to elevator-pitches; find out how CRP projects are benefiting industry; and learn about the latest developments and activities in the areas of materials, manufacturing and non-destructive testing. There will also be allocated time during which you will have the opportunity to discuss any challenges faced by your organisation and learn how TWI can offer support. The event will also feature a poster exhibition by PhD students from the National Structural Integrity Research Centre (NSIRC), who will be available to talk about the projects they are working on.

On the day, David Wrathmall, Interim Chief Executive Officer of TWI, will welcome guests and open proceedings, followed by Simon Webster, Chair of TWI Research Board, who will give an introduction to the programme. Paul Woollin, Director Research at TWI, will then talk about TWI technology roadmap, and the advancement of new technologies.

In addition, we will soon be revealing a prominent keynote speaker who will share their insights and talk about the impact of innovative research and the value it creates for industry and beyond. TWI laboratory tours will be offered for all attendees as well as 'meet the expert' sessions with our TWI technical specialists. At 17:00 there will be welcome drinks, toasts and dinner with all our attendees.

A full programme will be released shortly.
