Fully Funded Support for Smart Grant Funding Applications

Tue, 09 August, 2022

Smart Grants are Innovate UK’s (IUK) most competitive grant-funding programme.

With the next cut-off for applications to Smart Grants approaching on 26 October 2022, TWI and the TIA programme team invites SME leaders who aspire to bring disruptive innovations to market to apply for fully funded support with their grant applications.

TWI and the TIA programme team are happy to offer this fully funded support to any SME leaders from the Tees Valley region who would like guidance in preparing a bid for the Smart Grant IUK call.

We recommend that you start preparing as early as possible to ensure that your application is aligned with the focused eligibility criteria and scope required to be successful.

This call is an excellent opportunity for any SME that wants to develop a game-changing idea that is designed for swift, successful commercialisation.

Ideas need to be genuinely new and novel, not just disruptive within their sector, and have significant potential for a rapid economic return for the UK.

SME leaders that join the TIA programme can expect to receive:

  • 1:1 sessions to ensure eligibility for this call and to refine your proposal concept
  • Expert proposal writing guidance to bring your application up to Innovate UK standards
  • Online webinar training on how to approach the proposal writing process and the requirements for a strong bid
  • Review of your final proposal by expert assessors before the submission to Innovate UK

We are now accepting applications from SMEs seeking support with Smart Grant applications, however, considering the scope of the call preparation, we will only be able to accept a limited number of applicants (on first-come-first-serve basis), so applying early is advised to avoid missing out.
