Who should attend?

CSWIP Welding inspector course is suitable for inspection engineers and supervisory staff. Those with little or no previous welding experience are recommended to attend CSWIP Visual Welding Inspector course before attending this programme.

 

Where can I attend the face-to-face training?

The CSWIP Welding Inspector course is available in several countries throughout the South East Asia region. You can attend the course in Australia, Brunei, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.

What are the entry requirements?

NOTICE: From May 2023, membership of The Welding Institute is compulsory for all CSWIP 3.1 candidates in the SEA region and a prerequisite for enrollment on the course

    There are some entry requirements to consider before you take the course.

  • Welding Inspector for at least 3 years of experience relating to the roles and responsibilities set out in Clause 1.2.2 of CSWIP regulation WI-6-92, independently confirmed, under competent supervision OR
  • Holding a CSWIP Visual Welding Inspector Certification for at least 2 years with job responsibilities in the areas listed in 1.2.1 and 1.2.2 of CSWIP document WI-6-92 OR
  • Welding Foreman or Supervisor/Instructor for at least one year

Candidates must also comply with Clause 1.3.4 of document WI-6-92 available at www.cswip.com. All experience will need to be verified by either your previous/present employer/company.

If you are not able to join the face-to-face class, you can opt for eLearning training available on the TWI Virtual Academy. The eLearning gives you:

  • Extended duration to complete your training
  • Time saving as you do not need to take  days off work
  • Travel costs saving as it minimises your commute
