Enrolling in the CSWIP 3.0 Visual Welding Inspector Course under the SEASEP Programme was a turning point in my career. As someone who regularly provided welding inspection data, I saw this as a great opportunity to enhance my technical knowledge and skills. The fact that it was a part of the Mother’s Day campaign, offering free training to empower women, made it even more meaningful for me.
Successfully completing the course and obtaining my certification has significantly impacted my professional growth. Now, as a certified visual welding inspector, I can conduct inspections with greater accuracy, leading to improved efficiency and a more streamlined workflow. This certification has not only expanded my job responsibilities but has also gained me recognition and trust within my team.
Beyond professional benefits, this qualification has contributed to my personal growth and stability. Earlier, I was involved in the inspection process only as a data provider. However, with my globally recognized certification, I am now entrusted to carry out official inspections myself, adding more value to my role and boosting my confidence.
Workplace safety has also been an area where I have seen a significant improvement. Completing the IOSH Working Safely course has equipped me with the knowledge to engage in meaningful safety discussions at work. I can now contribute effectively to workplace safety measures, ensuring compliance and reducing risks.
Looking ahead, I am eager to further advance my expertise in the field. I plan to pursue CSWIP 3.1 and BGAS Painting Inspector training, which will allow me to specialize in welding and painting inspection. These additional certifications will help me expand my career prospects and continue growing as a professional in this industry.
I am truly grateful for the SEASEP programme for providing this opportunity, and I highly encourage others, especially women, to take advantage of such initiatives to empower themselves and advance their careers.
