On June 4, 2024, eight representatives from University Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Marine Engineering Technology (UNIKL-MIMET) visited TWI South East Asia. The visit aimed to explore the integration of TWI's professional programs into UNIKL-MIMET's degree and diploma curricula.
During the visit, the representatives expressed keen interest in TWI's comprehensive Training and Certification courses and discussed the potential incorporation of two key professional courses: Offshore Structure Engineering and Naval Architecture and Shipbuilding. These programs are designed to enhance the practical skills and industry knowledge of students, aligning with the latest standards and practices in the marine engineering field.
Plans are underway to launch these integrated programs in September 2024, marking a significant step forward in providing UNIKL-MIMET students with access to world-class training and certification. This collaboration is expected to produce highly skilled graduates who are well-prepared to meet the demands of the maritime industry.
