TWI South East Asia proudly participated in the SMARTECH 2024 exhibition, held at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Johor Bahru from 4-5 June 2024. This event provided an excellent platform for TWI to demonstrate its latest advancements in technology and engage with a diverse audience.
At the exhibition, TWI displayed its state-of-the-art Augmented Reality (AR) machine and welding specimens. These exhibits attracted significant attention from a wide range of visitors, including mechanical engineering students, lecturers, high school students, and industry professionals. The interactive AR machine allowed attendees to experience TWI’s innovative approach to welding technology firsthand.
In addition to the exhibition, TWI also participated in the technical talk sessions. Mohd Marzuqi bin Mohd Dalim, TWI's Welding Programme Manager, delivered an insightful presentation on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Malaysia. His talk highlighted the importance of obtaining certification, the impact on employability, and promoted TWI’s range of Welding Qualification Test (WQT) products.
