TWI Technology (S.E. Asia) Sdn Bhd is pleased to announce its appointment as the strategic collaborative partner of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). This collaboration reflects the faculty's confidence in TWI's commitment to achieving mutual aspirations and advancing industrial development in Malaysia.
The partnership aims to foster a range of joint activities, including industrial training programs, technology exchanges, industrial visits, and other collaborative ventures. These activities are designed to provide significant benefits to both UTM and TWI, contributing to the enhancement of industry standards and practices.
A key component of this collaboration is the training of final-year UTM students on the CSWIP 3.0 Visual Welding Inspection course. This initiative is intended to equip students with vital industry skills, thereby improving their employability and readiness for the workforce.
The formal exchange of the letter of collaboration has already taken place, marking the official start of this partnership. A signing ceremony for the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is tentatively scheduled for November, further solidifying the collaboration.
This strategic partnership between TWI South East Asia and UTM is set to pave the way for numerous beneficial joint activities and strengthen the link between academia and industry, ultimately contributing to the overall industrial development in Malaysia.
