From May 27 to 31, six trainers from Institut Latihan Perindustrian (ILP) Perai attended the CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector course at TWI South East Asia. This training session was part of a broader initiative to upskill ILP Perai's trainers in preparation for the establishment of the Penang SME TVET Excellence Centre, projected to be completed by 2026. This centre will serve as a pivotal hub for the manufacturing industry in the region.

My name is Muhamad Faiz bin Ariffin from ILP Perai. I've been here for about five days learning the 3.1 welding inspection with five of my colleagues. We've learned a lot of new things together. There were many things we didn't know before, and now we do. The facilities here are really good. We didn't have time to explore much, but from what I saw, they're excellent.

My name is Mohamad Fauzi bin Mohd Yusuf from ILP Perai. During the week at TWI taking the 3.1 welding inspector course, I was grateful to gain a lot of exposure, knowledge, and experience shared by the instructors. Additionally, the facilities at TWI are excellent, with comfortable classrooms, a well-organized and secure exam venue, and comprehensive notes. If I were to rate TWI from 1 to 10, I would give it a 10.
The CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector course provided the trainers with critical skills and knowledge, enhancing their capacity to train future professionals in the manufacturing industry.
