TWI India proudly brought the TWI Knowledge Bus: Empowering Futures to Aditya University, Kakinada, as part of Colors-2025, the university’s highly anticipated youth festival, held from January 9–11, 2025. This three-day celebration of culture, creativity, and innovation provided the perfect platform to introduce students to the future of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), welding, and engineering technologies.
The TWI Knowledge Bus is more than just a vehicle—it’s a mobile knowledge hub designed to make cutting-edge engineering education accessible to students, trainees, and professionals across India. Fully equipped with state-of-the-art Welding, Painting and NDT tools and training resources, the bus serves as a bridge between theoretical learning and real-world industrial applications.
At Colors-2025, students had the unique opportunity to:
- Explore advanced NDT techniques, including Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Penetrant Testing (PT), Radiographic Inspection (RI), Welding Inspection, and BGAS Painting Inspection.
- Engage in interactive demonstrations, where they experienced live testing on different materials and learned how inspection technologies ensure safety and quality in industries.
- Gain career insights from TWI India experts, understanding the growing demand for skilled professionals in NDT, welding, and inspection sectors.
With engineering and technology at the heart of modern industries, hands-on learning experiences like those provided by the TWI Knowledge Bus play a crucial role in shaping future professionals. By bringing this innovative training platform directly to the university, TWI India ensured that students could witness real-world industrial practices without stepping outside their campus.
Beyond technical exposure, the TWI Knowledge Bus aims to empower young minds by showcasing career opportunities in the fields of engineering inspection, welding, and industrial safety. With industries rapidly evolving, TWI India is committed to ensuring that students have the knowledge and skills required to thrive in a competitive global landscape.
Colors-2025 was not just a festival; it was a celebration of youth, culture, and education. By integrating technical learning into a vibrant cultural event, TWI India successfully engaged with aspiring engineers, young innovators, and future leaders, leaving a lasting impact on their educational journey.
As the TWI Knowledge Bus continues its journey across India, visiting colleges, project sites, and exhibitions, it remains a symbol of empowerment, education, and industry excellence.
