This course is suitable for candidates, with or without previous site coatings inspection experience, who wish to attain BGAS-CSWIP Approval as a Site Coatings Inspector. It is also ideal for those involved in the inspection and coating of new and existing pipelines. This approval is beneficial for welding inspectors as it extends their capabilities in pipeline projects.

What Else Should I Know?
You MUST bring:
- 2 passport-sized photographs
- A valid eyesight certificate from a doctor or optician showing satisfactory near vision (able to read a minimum of Times Roman N4 or equivalent at not less than 300mm) and a colour perception assessment (Ishihara 24 plate test or equivalent)
- A completed application form and full examination fee
Note:
- Renewals can only be made within three months of the expiry date. After three months, a re-examination is required.
- If you hold BGAS-CSWIP Paint Inspector Approval, day 1 covers familiar topics, making attendance optional but recommended. Skipping day 1 does not reduce the course fee.
- The course is for four days with examinations on day 5. Less experienced candidates may take the examination the following week.
Entry Requirements
The minimum industrial experience required is one month, demonstrating knowledge of pipeline fabrication techniques, safe working practices, and a general understanding of coating application.
