What Else Should I Know?
You MUST bring:
- 2 passport-sized photographs
- A valid eyesight certificate from a doctor or optician showing satisfactory near vision (able to read a minimum of Times Roman N5 or equivalent at not less than 300mm) and a colour perception assessment (Ishihara 24 plate test or equivalent)
- A completed application form and full examination fee
- If you hold BGAS-CSWIP Site Coatings Inspector Approval, note that day 1 of the syllabus covers familiar topics. Attendance on this day is strongly recommended but optional, potentially reducing the course duration to four days. However, there will be no reduction in course fee if you choose not to attend.
The course is a four-day training session with an examination on day 5. Less experienced candidates may opt to take the examination the following week.
Entry Requirements
Experience can be acquired before or after passing the examination. Examination results remain valid for two years if the required experience is sought afterwards.
The minimum industrial experience required is six months, demonstrating knowledge of dry abrasive blast cleaning or industrial paint application techniques.
