You need to hold BGAS-CSWIP grades 3 and 2 in painting inspection to enter this advanced course, which focuses on offshore practices.

What Else Should I Know?
You MUST bring:
- 2 passport-sized photographs
- A valid eyesight certificate from a doctor or optician showing satisfactory near vision (able to read a minimum of Times Roman N5 or equivalent at not less than 300mm) and a colour perception assessment (Ishihara 24 plate test or equivalent)
- A completed application form and full examination fee
This is a four-day training course with a half-day examination on day 5. Less experienced candidates may take the examination the following week.
Entry Requirements
You must hold a valid BGAS Painting Inspector Grade 2 certificate to obtain Grade 1. The minimum required industrial experience is 12 months, demonstrating knowledge of offshore working, safety, and painting inspection.
