Automated Ultrasonic Testing is an evolved non-destructive technique used in many industries like oil and gas, power, and petrochemical. A significant factor of AUT is the data acquisition carried out by automated scanning patterns with encoded information.
Who should attend?
This course is suitable for personnel, engaged in the assessment of weld acceptance or rejection from automated ultrasonic testing systems.
Entry Requirements
Candidates must hold a valid BS EN ISO 9712 Level 2 certification in ultrasonic inspection. Inspectors who do not have a valid BS EN ISO 9712 Level 2 certification in ultrasonic inspection are required to sit the CSWIP UT Welds Level 2 General Paper (40 multiple choice questions) in addition to the AUT Data Interpretation exam. Please note, no additional UT training will be provided on the course.
