TWI CS has signed a MOU with the Vocational Education Center

For the first time in Azerbaijan, the application of the "welding works" practice model of TWI (United Kingdom) is being started in the vocational education system. This innovation will be implemented in the Vocational Education Center of the Economic Zones Development Agency of the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan Republic.

On May 15, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Center for Vocational Education of the Agency for the Development of Economic Zones and the company "TWI Ltd", which has long-term experience in the research and technology fields of Great Britain. Founded in 1946, TWI Ltd currently has branches in more than 60 countries and has a total of over 1,000 employees. Every year, the company organizes trainings in more than 100 directions for more than 20,000 students in the world.

In the ceremony Country Manager of TWI Azerbaijan - Karim Shakuri shared his opinions about the signing of MOU with TV channels and media members:

“I am very glad that we have signed this memorandum. I am sure that this memorandum will bring great success for us, for our country, for our youth and students. Our scope of work with the vocational training center will be mainly in Welding, Welding Quality Control, NDT, Painting Inspection and Blasting”.

Director of the Vocational Training Center - Kanan Bagirov’s opinion:

“The training of students as specialists in the field of welding works, various types of welding, their certification, as well as the introduction of innovations that can be applied in modern education to modern standards create opportunities for sharing various experiences in the field of welding in the direction of education. Our new workshop, which meets modern standards, has been put into use. in this workshop, it is intended to train specialists in the field of welding. The participation of TWI’s experts is planned for the creation of this workshop, as well as receiving recommendations and support”.

In the memorandum, the establishment of cooperative relations between the Vocational Education Center and TWI Azerbaijan, the involvement of students and teachers in the innovative projects of the company, the strengthening of the material and technical base of the laboratories for conducting joint scientific and research work, conducting new researches covering scientific, technical and technological problems and cooperation in other directions is planned.
