Meet the TWI Team at Offshore Europe

Rory leads TWI’s industrial membership and commercial engagement activities across the energy, defence, and advanced manufacturing sectors. With a strong focus on building collaborative partnerships, he works closely with companies to align TWI’s technical expertise with their innovation, safety, and integrity challenges.

Rory is an accomplished business leader and strategist with over 30 years of industry experience in capital equipment in-service support and asset management. In the last 20 years, Rory has been at a senior level, holding directorial positions in operations and sales and as a managing director. During his career, Rory has worked with most of the major UK defence companies, gained awards for achieving operational excellence, and helped companies grow organically.

Stephen Anarah joined TWI in 2022 as Senior Manager for Oil, Gas and Energy Transition, where he is responsible for driving business development and strategic initiatives across TWI’s presence in the oil and gas sector.

With over 19 years of experience in upstream oil and gas operations, Stephen brings deep expertise spanning onshore and offshore field services, commercial operations, and technology solutions. His global industry exposure includes leading and supporting projects across five continents, giving him a unique perspective and a robust network of industry contacts.

Stephen plays a key role in aligning TWI’s research and technology solutions with the evolving needs of the energy sector, particularly in support of the energy transition.

Working both onshore and offshore as an inspection diver, inspection coordinator, client representative, and project engineer with 21 years' experience in the oil and gas industry world-wide.

Having begun his career in his native Poland, Marek has worked in places as diverse as Qatar, Malaysia, Norway and Nigeria (amongst others). With around fifteen years of diving inspection experience, he has also been recognised as the first Polish diver to become a fully certified IMCA Air Diving Supervisor.

As a TWI Senior Inspection Lecturer, Marek was honoured by the Divers Qualification Board of the Republic of Poland for his work in advancing the diving industry in Poland.

He is currently working as the Underwater Inspection and Global Wind Organisation (GWO) Course Programme Manager at TWI Middlesbrough.
