Representatives from the EMPHASIZING project consortium attended an awards celebration day at the JEC show on 5 March, 2024.
The day was organised to celebrate winners of this year’s JEC Composites Innovation Awards, where EMPHASIZING was awarded the JEC Group 2024 Innovation Award for Circularity and Recycling.
Our team was among those at the event in Paris, which showcased what composite materials can offer to industries ranging from aerospace and automotive to construction and marine.
We were delighted to be recognised by the awards that promote innovative composite solutions across the world as well as encouraging those working in composites innovation.
The EMPHASIZING project brought together partners Ford Motor Company, Gestamp, EMS-CHEMIE (Business Unit EMS-GRIVORY), Gen2plank Ltd, Longworth - Sustainable Recycling Technology, Brunel Composites Centre (BCC) and TWI to assess, process and analyse materials from wind turbine blades and automotive and marine parts to create roadmaps for recycling that demonstrate the concept of a circular economy for fabricating automotive end products from upcycled glass fibre materials.
